Tips for a Successful Living Wall

Irrigate four times a day.

Constant water flow keeps the water moving evenly in the system. When areas become dry they tend to repel water or become hydrophobic. Therefore we recommend to run the irrigation system 4 times a day. Only adjust the timer duration to modify the moisture levels in the wall.

Water the system not the individual plants.

System is designed to encourage roots to grow into the felt. Position the drippers to the side of the top plant so the water is encouraged to go into the bottom folds of the Florafelt pockets.

Wrap the plants flat so they touch the bottom fold.

The system is designed so water collects at the bottom fold in each pocket. The goal is to encourage plants to grow into the system.

Do not turn off the system during rainy periods.

The system tends to not receive rain.
